Hermes Creative Awards announced winners for the 2022 international awards competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of traditional and emerging media — Rerise Digital is excited to be among the winners!
Hermes Creative Awards recognise outstanding work in the industry while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals.
There were over 6,500 entries from throughout Australia, USA, Canada, and 27 other countries. We were up against corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers.
Each application was administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organisation consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, and freelance professionals.
AMCP oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges, and rewards outstanding achievement and service to the profession.
AMCP judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Winners were selected from over 200 categories grouped under advertising, publications, marketing/branding, integrated marketing, public relations/communications, electronic media and pro bono.
Rerise Digital's winning entry was a financial services brochure designed to deeply resonate with the financial adviser's ideal client.
The creative process was executed with an enormous amount of care, making sure to spend a great deal of time on each aspect.
The beginning of the project was all about getting to know the people behind the company, so we could gain insightful knowledge into exactly what they offer their clients — on a professional level, but also on a personal level. As a boutique investment advisory firm, working with the right clients is paramount, so the brochure needed to communicate their values, process and expertise clearly. The idea was to attract new clients, but they had to be the *right* clients as the investment advisory firm takes on a limited number.
The copy was created using a vocabulary familiar to the target audience. Personable and professional language was used to hold the business in high regard as a standout leader in the field, while drawing the reader into the close-knit community that is enjoyed between the adviser and their clients.
The graphic design took on a modern, sleek, minimalistic feel to resonate with an audience who indulge in high-end brands. The colour palette was chosen to be smooth and subtle, drawing the reader in, but not distracting from the powerful messaging of the copy.
While a great deal of time went into the copywriting and graphic design of the brochure, an equal amount of time was spent on the discovery phase to ensure we knew the brand — and the people behind the brand — inside out.
Understanding the core of the business is the foundation of a creative project such as this. We understand the importance of building upon a strong foundation, and so we listened, observed and engaged with the staff for as long as we needed to, to ensure we began the project on the most solid foundation possible.
A huge amount of planning and strategy went into the entire process; from the interview phase, customer research, copywriting and design, every step was executed with precision and care.
